The Primary Wing of Suncity School celebrated its Annual Fiesta, Saturnalia on Saturday, December 15, 2023. It was a spectacular event that showcased months of hard work by both teachers and students. The theme for this year's fiesta was "Uketamo," focusing on the journey of self-acceptance and embracing one's uniqueness. The event commenced with a heartfelt speech by the Head Girl, setting the tone for the evening. Special guests were warmly welcomed, including notable personalities and the managing trustee, adding an aura of significance to the occasion. The ceremonial exchange of mementos symbolized the appreciation for the support provided by these dignitaries.

This was followed by a speech by the chairman, Mr. Ankit Goel. His speech was a pivotal moment that elevated the significance of the event. Mr Goel spoke about how the world had come to accept India as a country to reckon with. The Director, Mrs. Rupa Chakraborty, delivered the annual report, a prologue to the event, that traced the various milestones of the school. This reflective narrative showcased the school's growth and commitment to education.

The show centered around the theme- UKETAMO, a Japanese concept which essentially means acceptance. Students in the role of the lively characters of Walt Disney and Oprah Winfrey, guided the audience through the captivating story of the play. An enchanting orchestra vowed the audience with their soulful rendition. The play revolved around a raven's quest for beauty. It resonated with the audience, emphasizing the importance of embracing one's unique qualities and accepting oneself as one was. The inclusion of mesmerizing dances further enhanced the narrative, providing visual and emotional depth to the performance. Some great acting skills were on display, be it the Greek hero Achilles or the fierce bandit, Angulimal known for his collection of fingers from his victims. The children enthralled the audience with their impeccable dialogue delivery, acting and oratory.

The Head Boy delivered a gracious vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all involved in making the event a success. The show concluded on a high note with the Grand Finale dance, leaving the audience in awe, with its energy and synchronization. The dance, a culmination of coordinated efforts by the students, left a lasting impression and brought the entire auditorium to life.

The Annual Fiesta received overwhelming appreciation from parents, who commended the school for its creative and thought-provoking theme. The combination of the scripted performance, mesmerizing dances, and the overall organization of the event left a lasting impact on the attendees.
